Role: Nervous system, muscle function.
Magnesium bound to taurine. Taurine is an amino acid found in high concentration in the heart and nervous system. This form is chosen for how well it is tolerated and how it supports normal muscle and nerve function through the night.
Role: Sleep quality, calm.
An amino acid the body uses everywhere, from collagen to neurotransmission. Taken in the evening it supports the natural fall in core body temperature that accompanies good sleep. It pairs with the bisglycinate form of magnesium below.
Role: Sleep, nervous system, muscle recovery.
Magnesium bound to two glycine molecules, in its pure form. Many bisglycinate products are buffered with magnesium oxide, a low cost form that raises the number on the label without raising what your body absorbs. Ours is unbuffered. That is why you see 70 mg of elemental magnesium here rather than a bigger, emptier number. With the taurate it makes 150 mg per serving, a sensible evening amount in forms that are gentle on the stomach.

The amino acid found in green tea leaves. It supports a calm, settled state of mind in the evening, the kind that makes it easier to put the day down.

How to take it

Magnesium is not one thing. We chose taurate and pure, unbuffered bisglycinate for their distinct roles in the formula, then declared how much elemental magnesium each one provides.
Everyone is different. Magnesium and the evening compounds are designed for nightly use, so give it a few weeks of consistent use before you judge it.
Some bisglycinate supplements are mixed with magnesium oxide, which can raise the elemental magnesium figure on the label. Ours is not. We use pure magnesium bisglycinate and declare exactly what it provides.
